Widely used in colleges of Further Education, CM Education's popular libaries have been made accessible to support Level 2 qualifications by the creation of Interactive Course Guides.
Complementing a sophisticated yet intuitive suite of navigation tools, the course guides are structured on syllabuses such as the GCSE. Built around the Unit headings and topics, the guide links sutdents to the section of the library or a selection of primary sources directly relevant to their studies. In this way, the distractions of false search engine hits and drill-down dead-ends are avoided and the speed of retrieval of pertinent documents is drastically increased. At the same time, the vast but focused breadth of library resources remains available for those willing to engage in more adventurous research.
The interactive element of the course guides is rounded off by a series of multiple-choice questions, available at the end of each Unit for self-testing, reinforcement of key points and fleshing out the theory with real life examples.
